Amsterdam - Capital of the Netherlands
For those who didn't know yet, or had forgotten, the capital of the Netherlands is Amsterdam. You won't immediately think of Amsterdam when you want to go on holiday with your dog, but it is actually a great location to spend a few days with your dog! Take your bike with you and go cycling or walk along the endless canals together.
There are also many public places in Amsterdam where dogs are allowed as well as dog parks. In the summer you can find various festivals in the Vondelpark. Enjoy wonderful music, the Dutch summer weather, delicious food and the people around you. In addition to the festivals, you can enjoy walking with your dog in any season. Please note: Dogs must remain on a leash.
Have you seen the beautiful center of Amsterdam? Then head towards the Flevopark. Just outside the city center you will find a beautiful area where your dog can also swim. Wonderful to cool off on hot summer days. Or just to get nice and wet!
