Selfies with dogs: More than with a partner
Share this blog post
In a recent study by the American Rover, 1,500 American dog owners were asked how often they take a photo with their dog and with their partner. No fewer than 65% of participants take more selfies with their dog than with their partner!
Dog owners also sing self-made songs for their dogs and a large number of participants prefer to leave their partner at home for a weekend rather than their dog.
Dogs and their own social media account
Even more interesting is that a third of participants call taking photos of and with their dog a hobby. Many have opened a separate page on Facebook or Instagram for the dog and post content there, as if the dog itself were on social media. It is therefore not surprising that dog-related profiles on the internet are becoming increasingly popular.
Bleak future without a band
More than half of the 1,500 participants from the United States of America indicate that they have a gloomy view of the future of the relationship with their four-legged friend if there is no click or close bond between dog and partner. In addition, dogs are increasingly involved in important events such as marriage proposals, weddings and holidays.
